RANDOM THOUGHTS FROM THE MAN CAVE

Offbeat Observation from Kevin's Subterranean Mind

ABOUT ME

As a native of New York City, I’m blessed with treasured skills: my parallel parking and ability to drive in reverse leave many in awe, I can climb a telephone pole like a seasoned utility worker, and I know a good bagel. While these are incredibly prized talents, what I value most from my NYC rearing is my sarcastic, offbeat humor.

Twenty years ago, I started putting that offbeat inner dialogue to keyboard. These ramblings morphed into two manuscripts: DISSED APPROACH: Laughing While Living the Dream and RANDOM THOUGHTS FROM THE MAN CAVE, THE BOOK. Some posts are from these works.

I’ve been published on/in Points In Case, Little Old Lady Comedy, Frazzled, the Virginia War Memorial Foundation, and Frederick Magazine.

As for my day job, I’m an airline pilot. I love my work and consider myself incredibly blessed. I have three great adult sons and one tolerant wife. When I’m not flying, I enjoy working on all things mechanical, eating raw cookie dough and jumping off high things.

If you like my work, be sure to follow my blog and share it with others.

Kevin McDermott

A hilariously irreverent narrative about adrenaline-pumping aircraft incidents, oddball characters and absurd situations from my 31 years of flying supersonic jets, globe-trotting military transports and commercial airliners.

A compilation of offbeat observations, awkward experiences, and random thoughts, visions, and dreams I’ve documented over the years.
